Unlike the milk teeth in children, the permanent teeth in adults would not date itself but rather triggered something else. One of the factors that trigger tooth is a problem with the teeth, gums and mouth.
Neuroscientists from Japan, Dr. Nozomi Okamoto in latest research reveal that the health condition of the gums that is the cause of tooth loss is closely associated with the risk of dementia. He concluded that after examining 6000  elderly 65 years old and over.

Infections that occur in the gums can lead to certain compounds that trigger inflammation. These compounds can be carried by the bloodstream to other places including the brain and cause inflammation in the network. Inflammation that occurs in brain tissue can cause the death of nerve cells are almost entirely centered there. Damage to the nerves of memory and cognitive impairment is a major cause of dementia in adults and the elderly.

Dr. Nozomi reveal, elderly people who have teeth that are still incomplete have the lowest risk for having dementia. In contrast, the elderly who have no teeth or have lost some of his teeth have high risk to become senescent more rapidly.

“The loss of receptors around the teeth closely related to the death of certain neurons in the brain, which will trigger a decline in cognitive function,” said Dr. Nozomi as quoted from HealthDay, Wednesday (04/01/2011). ”
